A fine two-story vertical addition of steel and concrete construction in Chaidari, Attica.
The house was completed in 6 months through the successful collaboration of Econ, which on this project took on only the frame and the walls, and AD Constructions, which carried out all the remaining work.
Two-story vertical addition to a house in Chaidari, Attica
A two-story vertical addition with a steel frame on top of an existing house in Chaidari. The new frame sits on a steel grillage on the roof slab of the old building, with an elastomeric layer in between so that friction is not transferred. The exterior walls were built with 3D panel walls, the roof is clay-tiled and pergolas were added on the roof terrace.
Photos from the site, from the erection of the frame on the existing house to completion.

The 3D panels were placed on the inner side of the frame to avoid wind posts. This requires a dedicated design, which was prepared by a specialized team.
